The challenge

A standard rooflight isn’t a single product — it’s a spec. The website had to price and sell every version of it without a human in the loop, for two very different kinds of buyer.

• —Every rooflight is made to order — thousands of size, glazing, frame and kerb combinations.
• —Buyers had to email for a quote and wait, so most never came back.
• —Trade and homeowners needed different pricing and different journeys.
• —The old site showed products but couldn't actually sell one.
